Richard Cottee | Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer | BA, LLB(Hons)

Mr Cottee began his career in the resources sector in 1980 when as a Business Development Manager for Itochu Australia; he was involved in the Tarong Power Station construction and the development of the Newlands-Collinsville-Abbot Point projects.

As a lawyer he was part of the legal team behind one of Australia's first non-recourse project financing concerning Oaky Creek. Whilst acting for Crusader Ltd, he was involved in the negotiations of the Cooper Basin Liquids Scheme. He joined Santos Ltd in 1982 as the Senior Marketing Officer for LPG & Condensates before being relocated to Queensland (QLD) after the Jackson Oilfield discovery responsible for all commercial aspects of its development and the construction of the Jackson-Moonie Pipeline.

He has been a Senior Associate of both Allens and Mallesons. In 1992 he joined Cyprus Amax Minerals Group in Sydney where he was a Director of Oakbridge Pty Ltd and Cyprus Australia Coal functionally responsible for coal marketing and sales and other matters. In 1998, he joined CS Energy Ltd, a recently corporatized Government owned corporation, during which time over 3 years of his leadership CS Energy doubled its profits and tripled its asset base. Importantly, whilst at CS Energy, the construction of the large combined cycle gas-fired power station at Swanbank E was approved. CS Energy entered into what is thought to be Australia's first pure CSG purchase contract for Scotia gas from Santos. CS Energy also entered into letters of Intent with QGC and Arrow thus facilitating their public listings.

In 2001 he was named Managing Director of NRG Ltd for the UK & Scandinavian regions. He joined QGC as Managing Director in 2002 when it had a market capitalisation of $30 million. He took QGC from an early stage explorer to a major non-conventional gas supplier sold to the BG Group for $5.7 billion in 2008. Mr Cottee is also currently Non-Executive Chairman of Austin Exploration Ltd and is a principal in Freestone.
Michael R Herrington | Chief Operating Officer | BS (Engineering), University of Utah

Mr Herrington was recently President Upstream for QGC, a BG Group Company, Managing Director for Jabiru Energy and previously was Managing Director for Enron Exploration Australia Pty Ltd based in Queensland, Australia and Enron Oil & Gas China Ltd based in Beijing, China. Mr Herrington has more than 30 years of diversified petroleum industry experience, holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering form the University of Utah and is a registered Professional Engineer. He has set up operations in Spain, France, Australia as well as China. These efforts have been consistently results oriented and have been completed on time and under budget invoking state of the art technology and developing new concepts where necessary incorporating such diverse technologies as satellite imaging and drilling rig modifications. In particular he has managed efforts to establish coal bed methane recovery leases in Europe, Australia and Asia.
Leon Devaney | Chief Financial Officer | BSc., MBA

Mr Devaney joined Central Petroleum in November 2012 and brings over 12 years of commercial and corporate finance experience within the Australian energy and resources sector. Prior to joining Central Petroleum Limited, Mr Devaney was General Manager, Gas and Power at QGC, a BG Group Company, where he was responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies within both the domestic gas and electricity markets. He joined QGC in 2004 as Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to QGC, Mr Devaney was GM, Commercial and Finance at Queensland Gas Company, where he participated in the rapid growth of Australia’s then emerging CSM industry.

Mr Devaney has previously been active in consulting and corporate finance advisory, holding senior positions at Deloitte Corporate Finance (Sydney) and PFM (Newport Beach, CA) where he specialised in structured and project finance.

Mr Devaney holds an MBA and BSc. (Finance) from the University of Southern California.
Daniel White | Group General Counsel and Joint Company Secretary | LLB, BCom, LLM

Mr White's oil & gas legal experience includes local and international negotiation and documentation of corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital raisings, energy related transactions, joint venture, farmout and partnering arrangements, project development and dispute resolution.

Mr White is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts of Queensland and Western Australia, and is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (non-practising).

Prior to his appointment at Central Petroleum Limited, Mr White was Group General Counsel of Kuwait Energy. Mr White has also held senior legal and management positions in Australia and overseas for Clough Limited. Prior to joining Clough, Mr White worked for many years as a commercial litigator with Perth boutique litigation law firm Arns & Associates.
Robbert Willink | Exploration Advisor | BSc Hons, PhD

Dr Willink holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a PhD in Geology and has 35 years industry experience. He also holds positions as an Adjunct Professor, School of Earth Sciences at the University of Queensland; a Director of his own training and advisory company, Investigative Exploration Pty Ltd; and a Non-Executive Director of small Australian company, Exoma Energy Ltd. He was head of exploration at Origin Energy Ltd from 2000 until 2011 and oversaw numerous oil and gas discoveries in the Bass, Otway, Perth and Surat basins; and the expansion of the company's portfolio to include conventional and CSG exploration interests in Queensland, South East Asia, Africa and New Zealand. Prior to joining Origin, Dr Willink held senior positions with Shell, Sagasco Resources Ltd (which was taken over by Boral Ltd in 1994, and eventually listed its energy assets as Origin Energy) and has lectured in petroleum geology at the National Centre for Petroleum Geology and Geophysics at Adelaide University. Dr Willink is a member of PESA and AAPG.
Joseph P Morfea | Joint Company Secretary | FAIM, GAICD

Mr Morfea has over thirty five years of experience in the resource industry having held key financial positions with both Australian and international based companies. He was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Magellan Petroleum Australia Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Denver based Magellan Petroleum Corporation. Prior to Magellan, Mr Morfea worked for Santos Limited and Thiess Dampier Mitsui Coal Pty Ltd. Mr Morfea has also held Board and Committee positions with ASX listed and Not for Profit organisations.
